Our Next Course:
An Introduction to Biblical Theology
Saturday Mornings Sept 18, 25, Oct 2, 9
As part of our ongoing committment at the Vine to bring you relevant theological depth to your discipleship walk, we are very pleased to announce that our next course will be "An Introduction to Biblical Theology". This four week course provides an overview of the big picture of Scripture, focusing on how the Old Testament and New Testament tell one unique and unified redemptive story. This is our entry-level theology course at the Vine and is designed to be relevant to both new-comers to theology as well as established arm-chair 'scholars' who want to take things to a deeper level. The teaching will be interactive and diverse, and each week will build upon the last with plenty of time for classroom discussion and engagement.
This course will cover the following topics:
* Understanding the overall narrative and themes of the Old and New Testaments
* Learning how to read the bible as one unified story that centers on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus
* Working with a simple model for understanding the unity of Scripture and applying this model to your personal bible reading and study
* Tools to help you interpreative Scripture with confidence and maturity, taking into account the wider context of passages and their relevance to the overall story
The course starts on Saturday, September 18th and runs for four consecutive Saturday mornings from 10:00am to 1:00pm at the Vine Centre (2/f, Two Chinachem Plaza, 135 Des Voeux Road, Central).
